Agar wood

Also known as oud, agarwood is a precious and rare ingredient in perfumery. It comes from a tropical tree called Aquilaria, which produces this aromatic resin only when infected by a certain type of mold. This natural process gives rise to a substance much sought-after for its rich, complex aromas.
